The PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING INSTITUTE has designed Three Methods of Training for your team!. ON-SITE This is the best method and gives opportunity for attendees to take an active role in each module of training including hands-on and question and answer times. We offer One Day and Two Day Seminars. One Day Seminar includes a complete walk through security consultation a day or week prior to class. In this walk around, we will note strong points of exterior security including lighting, locks, fencing, compliance signs, and other points as well as interior security points. There is no additional cost for this service. On The Day of Training: We address Staffing A Church Security Team, Power of Observation, Preventative Security, Use and Levels of Force, Basic Duties of Ushers and Church Security Team Members, Report Writing, Liability, Authority and General Duties Training. This is an excellent overview of a Church Security Team's start-up and operation. Two Day Training: Includes all of the above modules of training plus advanced modules including; Laws of Arrest and Detention, Search and Seizure, Use of Defensive Weapons Including Pepper Spray, Impact Weapons such as Batons, Tasers and Stun Guns,and Other Weapons, Being A Court Witness and more. ON-LINE We have compiled all of our in depth Two Day Security Seminar into a comprehensive, plain language online training course and certification program that you can take at home or at work and at your own speed as time permits. This course includes all aspects of Church Security Officer Certification including all modules as listed above plus several new ones that will help your team be prepared for medical, weather or security emergencies and the successful completion of all material will also help to shield your security staff, pastoral members, church board and church organization from litigation and liability.
